💗 ONE YEAR LATER… AND LOOK AT ME NOW. 🎗️🙏 Today my chemo therapist walked in and said, “Hi Haley. So one year down. One year to go.” And just like that, I was taken back to the day that feels like yesterday. ❤️ One year ago, I was sitting in this very same chair, being hooked up to my very first chemotherapy treatment. I was scared, overwhelmed, and had absolutely no idea what to expect. I didn’t know what the next year would hold, how hard this journey would be, or just how much it would change me. I was facing one of the scariest battles of my life, fighting cervical cancer and praying I would make it through. There were days filled with fear, tears, pain, exhaustion, and moments when I didn’t know how I was going to get through it all. Cancer is so much more than what people see on the outside. It’s the mental battles, the uncertainty, the waiting, and the strength it takes to keep showing up even when you’re terrified. But here I am, ONE YEAR LATER. 🥹💕 CANCER FREE! 🎗️🙌🏼 And now, instead of chemotherapy, I’m continuing my journey with immunotherapy. I have made it through things I once thought I couldn’t, and I’m so incredibly grateful to still be here. I could never talk about this journey without talking about my amazing support system. ❤️ My kids, who are my entire world and my biggest reason to keep fighting. My mom, who stood by me through the fear and uncertainty. And the strangers online who became a source of comfort, encouragement, prayers, and love when I needed it most. Some of you may never truly understand how much your messages, kind words, and support meant to me. You helped me feel less alone during one of the darkest and scariest chapters of my life. I learned just how strong a person can be when they have no choice but to keep going. I learned to appreciate the little things, to cherish every moment with my kids, and to never take another day for granted. A year ago, I sat in this chair scared of what was ahead. Today, I sit here with a completely different perspective, a grateful heart, and a future I get to keep fighting for. I’m not the same woman who walked into that first treatment. I’m stronger, more appreciative of life, and forever changed by this battle. To everyone who stood beside me, checked on me, prayed for me, encouraged me, or simply reminded me that I wasn’t alone… THANK YOU. You will never know how much you helped carry me through. 🥹❤️ One year down. One year to go. And I’m walking into this next chapter with hope, gratitude, and so much fight left in me. CANCER DOES NOT DEFINE ME. I AM A SURVIVOR, A MOM, A FIGHTER, AND A WOMAN WHO REFUSES TO GIVE UP. 🎗️💕🙏🏼 #CancerFree #CancerSurvivor #CervicalCancerAwareness #OneYearLater #StillFighting
