I have a 4,3,1 year olds and pregnant due in march and i in fact got a puppy 2 months ago! on top of i have a puggle! Go get a puppy lol!!! best decision my kiddos are inlove with him

Please do lots of research on well bred purebreds!! Pure bred does not equal well bred and unfortunately there isn’t a ton of breeders breeding to truly better the breed in this area! It saves so much headache and heartache through the course of your dogs life

There’s never a “good time” to get a puppy, so you’ll always have a reason not to get it. We don’t have kids yet, but we got our black lab puppy at a really chaotic time and she is the best thing that ever happened to us!! Just add a little more chaos to the mix- it’ll be worth it!😜😉

puppy stage- you might have late nights of getting up 1 to 2 times in the middle of the night for a bit. must train right away- things are cute as puppies but suck as dogs. will have to think about vacations, either bring them along or another expense of pet sitter. socialize, socialize, socialize!!!! with people, other animals, other kids! Carly absolutely loves her pups and cat, I highly recommend but there are always pros and cons to bringing on another responsibility.

Yes yes! 1. We are a lab family and from my experience (we have three males), they are the best lovers and protectors to all of my kiddos. They all have a bond and it’s really sweet. Couldn’t imagine raising my babies without my doggies.

I have a yellow lab named Biscuit from the character in the children’s book. I say go for it! The dog will wear the kids out!

It totally sounds like it was all meant to be! I feel like you’re putting so much thought into it that if you don’t do it you might regret it later. Growing up with a family dog was the best!

Had several labs while we had little kids! Best decision we ever made. Those dogs are the best! Don’t even think twice. They will grow up together and be best friends! ❤️

don't do it!!! we have a 1 yr old sheltie and man its such hard work...wait till your kids are a little old. my kids are 7 and 10 and it still was hard!

Absolutely yes! We had our dog before our son, but watching them grow up together is so special. No bond like a boy and the dog he's grown up with! Like you said, you're home and outside constantly/walking. What better time!?

And 2. Labs are literally such great dogs. I know you had Harper so you know the retriever breed but seriously. So smart, so easy to train.
