This makes sense to me. I lost my mum when I was young trying to picture her in my head, imagining what she looked like a smile and laughter it was like wiped away. I also felt guilty for laughing but time is a great healer but I still find it hard.

He is in a very unique position. The entire world mourned and mourn the loss of Princess Diana but to him it’s his mom. He is constantly reminded of her so it must be hard to process grief in his situation. I had a lot of grief starting very young in childhood and more after. It shaped me and became my identity. I carry it heavily. I understand his ongoing pain and struggle

Lost my Mum when I was 10 in 1969. I can’t remember her voice. Lost my Son as a baby to heart disease when I was 21 in 1980. Grief is a long process. Those that have never lost a parent as a child or one of their own children count yourself lucky!!
