@touringwithriva: Let's be honest... caravanning with kids isn't always the peaceful, relaxing getaway you see in the photos! 1️⃣"Are we there yet?" will be asked approximately 47 times. Even if you've literally just left home. They’ll also ask for snacks basically instantly. 2️⃣The caravan will NEVER stay tidy. Nine times out of ten, you can't have nice things because something will get spilled, broken, drawn on or covered in food... and within minutes, the caravan has been transformed into a full-blown soft play centre. 3️⃣It's basically parenting... but in a much smaller, confined space. The snacks, arguments, toilet trips and endless "Muuuum!" are all still happening, there's just nowhere to escape! 4️⃣Bedtime will almost always be later than at home. Because when there are bikes to ride, kids playing outside ano adventures happening all around you, apparently sleep is the LAST thing on their minds. 5️⃣You actually need less than you think. You become an expert at squeezing things into every possible bit of storage, but the kids really don't need half the stuff you think they do. Give them some freedom, fresh air and a campsite to explore and they're usually happy as Larry. 6️⃣BONUS ONE - they'll poo in your toilet cassette And eventually, you learn to embrace the chaos. Because caravanning with kids isn't necessarily the most relaxing holiday... but it's a different kind of family chaos, somewhere beautiful and when you look back, those are the moments and memories you'll treasure the most.
