@kylie.brewer: This is due to negative representation of Black people in the media and the dehumanization/ objectification of Black bodies. Lmk your thoughts in the comments!!! #leftist #education #humanrights #antiracism #intersectionalfeminism
Ironically I only realized I was attractive when I traveled outside of the U.S.

Being black in a majority white classes in high school and college meant being completely invisible when it came time for dating, prom, crushes etc… you feel like there’s something wrong with you until you realize the truth 😳

as desi women, I get more love from Black,White,Asian,Hispanic or Latino men more than desi men, the only hate I have gotten from men was from them online it truly be your own people

I didn’t think I was ugly, but I never knew I was attractive until I was in my 30s AND left the US. Now I can’t unsee it & would like to hide.

Advice if you’re someone struggling with this I highly recommend unfollowing people who don’t look like you online for a while. Find people with similar. Features, hair texture, skin colour, hell maybe even your same ethnicity. It’s helpful to spend time looking at and admiring people who look like you

i grew up with girls mocking me in HS for “being indian” and how all indians are ugly/smelly/creepy. Even hispanic/black girls would treat me that way. “What race would you not date?”
