my company does surveys every to got our opinions about the company. problem is management does nothing to change anything of how employees are treated or the work environment. now they question why we are bleeding employees

Mine rarely ask. When they do and I talk with them and discuss concerns and issues they just tell me to not be negative and figure it out. I put my two weeks in, my dm came to talk to me about it and said if I stay ill get the promotion I’ve been working toward for the past year, then gave it to someone who had way less experience than me and haven’t been working here nearly as long as me. So in turn he lied to me just to prevent me from quitting. I have job applications in at other places as we speak.

100%. I quit on the same boss twice and worked for the same company a third time because they replaced him and the new boss didnt play. if he noticed -NOTICED- you seemed unhappy or down or mad, he would bring you aside and ask questions. he actively cared and made it a priority to help fix an issue you have with the job (within reason of course) and would tell you updates on it so you know he hasn't let it slip his mind or drop the ball. he was hands down the best boss ive ever worked for.

I was a floor lead, and frequently told the associates "Thank you", "Good Job", and just generally asked them how things were going. My Store Manager seemed confused by this behavior.
