Following the renunciation exercise conducted by the Edo State Government on Monday, October 12, many people from Auchi and other parts of Edo North have reached out to Naija Confra, appealing to Governor Monday Okpebholo to organise another edition in Auchi. They want the exercise to accommodate people from Auchi, Igarra, Afuze, Otuo, Sasaro, Somorika, Fugar, and other communities across Edo North. According to them, many willing participants could not attend the Benin City programme because of the long distance, poor road conditions, and heavy traffic. However, many people in these communities are still willing to publicly renounce cultism and embrace peace. Holding another edition in Auchi would give more people across Edo North the opportunity to participate and make a positive change in their lives. Naija Confra also urges the Edo State Government to use the proposed second edition to invite the National Cult Leaders of Eiye/ACN (Odia Eromosele), Maphite/GCAI (Nester Iguodala), Jurist/PLIJ (Ozigi Thunder), and Aye/NBM (Hope Aliyu) who are from Edo State, to publicly renounce cultism. It would be great to see these national cult leaders attend with their members, giving more people the motivation to renounce cultism and embrace peace. The second edition could also provide an opportunity for the Edo State APC Chairman, Jarret Tenebe (last picture), and other prominent cultists in Edo State, to publicly renounce cultism. Naija Confra calls on Governor Monday Okpebholo, whose efforts on cultism we have acknowledged on this platform, to consider this appeal on behalf of the people of Edo North. We also urge him to consider our request to invite prominent cultists to participate in the exercise. A second edition in Auchi, with more participation, could help extend the message of change across Edo State and encourage more people to reject cultism and violence. God bless Edo State. God bless Monday Okpebholo. Reject Cultism.
