@americanprep: This month’s junior high and high school Virtue Theme is “Humility: being willing to learn and grow”. Two words were carved at the temple of Apollo at Delphi: “gnothi seauton” or “know thyself”. Before asking someone to be good, the Greeks asked someone to be honest about who they were. Only then could they learn and grow. 💭 Humility does not mean to think less of yourself. It means to think accurately about yourself. 💭 It means being willing to admit, “I don’t know.” 💭 It means being willing to take correction. 💭 It means being willing to change your mind. Our junior high and high school students are talking about humility this month. Ask your student what they are learning, and how they are practicing showing humility in their everyday lives!
