honestly drinking alcohol has been a human tradition for SO long that it's basically a part of the human experience to get a lil tipsy and chat with friends (on the tame side). it def feels amazing to socialize and be drunk that I get why it's still a huge thing. more shit happens when you drink then when you don't drink. you meet more people, hear more stories, forge bonds, and just have fun. imo there's way more upsides (when not done to an unhealthy extreme)
