@itsnicethat: Ever wanted to go behind the scenes into the world of stop-motion? Introducing Frame to Feeling, our new series with @LAIKA Studios where we step inside their Portland HQ to uncover the craft and creativity behind their films. For episode one, we’re joined by Ann Tseng, head of the paint department, to uncover how Laika’s puppets are painstakingly painted to create realistic textures that help bring their characters and stories to life. The latest film, Wildwood, takes things to another level. With tattooed characters to paint, every tiny marking needs to stay exactly where it should, frame after frame. And when a single hand can take up to two days to paint, suddenly those tiny details don’t seem so tiny. Discover the craft behind every detail in Wildwood, coming to theatres October 23.
