Ms Picavet is one of the student protesters who filled Place de la Bastille in central Paris today as similar demonstrations continued across France. Students are demanding the government address their grievances about teacher shortages and dilapidated school buildings. The demonstrations were peaceful but scuffles between police and protesters took place at some locations in Paris. The protest movement is now into its third week.
