Honestly at this point I’m just glad he didn’t unalive the kids too thinking that would help his statement. No matter what I’m glad it wasn’t worse than it already is… and yes he didn’t think this through at all. I don’t understand why divorce isn’t an option for some. Church or not. Religious or not. how does one choose smurder over just leaving… wild to me.

Someone mentioned the Sam Shepard case and it did make me start to wonder. Because that was the dumbest plan imaginable. And we know he’s not stupid because he lived a double life for a year.

if you wrote a book of how to murder ur wife and GET caught he did it. its like he didnt even think on how to do it sneakily. he did everything you shouldn't. to be honest, I think there is more to the story but the whole thing is nuts. they documented it in writing, they did a horrible staging, he have up information that made him a suspect, they left their apple devices on to track movement. I say they bc i think that mistress is in on it.

I saw a psychologist address this. She said when someone with a personality like Caleb has gotten away with misleading people for so long. And in Caleb’s case, it was two years. They get an inflated sense of ability to deceive. With so many people having believed their lies for so long, they think that the police and court will also believe them. It’s essentially an inflated sense of self.
