@motherjonesmag: Here's some history the US Supreme Court doesn't want you to think about. In April 2026, SCOTUS effectively ended the Voting Rights Act, opening the door to an all-white Congressional delegation from the South. The decision has startling parallels with Plessy v. Ferguson, the decision that established “separate but equal." The infamous ruling gaslit Black people for claiming segregation put one race above the other and cemented Jim Crow—which sanctioned racial apartheid in the American South. Now, with the destruction of the Voting Rights Act, legal arguments that enshrined slavery and segregation, which were once stamped out, are rising again.
