I was not a DI but i’m a Marine. the USMC is filled with people who DON’T want to see YOU do GOOD in your career & life and it’s fucking sad especially senior staff and officers. Senior SNCO’s need to really get trained on knowing to understand people better and understand not every Marine is Carlos Hathcock and that’s okay, you’re still a goddamn Marine, less then 1% of the population ever earned that title. Fuck whatever your shitty leadership and understand how far you came because just because their senior then you doesn’t mean they have your best interest. I’ve been out for almost 5 years and I have had zero contact with my leadership yet they were trying to make me make life altering decisions. Sad but yeah never give up and be proud to wear the Marine uniform. It’s an honor.
