Use these acyroyms doctor- description, occupation, characteristic,time, origin, relationship for ser. Example would be el es mi novio. For estar use place-positon, location, action, condition, emotion. Example: estoy feliz

estar/esta/estas/estoy/estaba: describing your something in a place (past,present an object a feeling, you yourself) ser/seras/serias: describing yourself or someone else's (way of being) which also one being/one self is also: ser like un ser vivo (a human being/ a person/soul)

Estar is like in the moment like if you’re sad, but ser is like something that won’t change, so if you’re sad you use estar bc you’re not sad forever, but like if your eyes are brown then you use ser bc it won’t change
