Yes! We moved here last Sept and they held us over for most medications. We had to 1) get letters from our previous providers with diagnosis and treatment (Rx) and 2) upload those to the website before our appt. It was so easy. Separately, I got a sinus infection last Oct. and they got me abx ASAP. Now I have a GP and I couldn’t get in before running out of a medication, so AVEE refilled two weeks to hold me over until my scheduled follow up. 10/10 service.

i wouldn’t recommend going to a different doc if you do have a family doctor bc it costs your family doctor $ and they may “fire” you. diff docs will have diff policies on that

Rocketdoctor.ca is good in BC as well. I have used Avee when I needed an ultra sound and they were quick and great!

Avee is literally so good!!!! They give out medical notes, any prescriptions, they can write u any tests you need!! Avee has so many doctors available right away

For an emergency refill, Avee prescribed my mom the wrong dosage for a prescription she had been taking for years. It took about a month to get it fixed before her extended travel plans.

Your GP should have a doctor on call 24/7, and you just call and leave a voicemail and they call you back immediately. I’m surprised more people don’t know this. You use this on weekends and after clinic hours.

If you don’t have a family dr call my dr in North Van and see if she or any of the drs at her clinic are taking new clients. I love her and have had her since 2015. When she moved from Vancouver to North Vancouver I followed her.

For prescription refill if it is basic check with your pharmacy. Many have prescribing pharmacists and they can do the prescription no doctor needed.

I have used both and they are great! Especially when the wait to see our family dr is weeks wait. They are also good for getting bloodwork requisitions and medical imaging. The late/weekend appointments are a bonus! All covered by MSP!
