A little fall rant from me to you ♡ Something I’ve always known is that I never wanted Sylira to exist only online. I don’t want this to just be a brand where I create something, post it, you buy it, and that’s where the story ends. I want to build a world around Sylira. A creative community where we can actually come together, make things with our hands, meet new people, bring our friends, talk, laugh, create, and leave with something that means something to us. That’s really where this fall collection came from. I’ve been handmaking these leather journals myself, and as much as I love creating them for you, I kept thinking… I want you to experience making one too. A journal that is completely yours. Something you can keep for years. A place for your goals, your dreams, your random thoughts, your prayers, your conversations with God, the things you’re working through, and the person you’re becoming. So this November, I’ll be hosting our first Sylira journal workshop in New York City. ♡ An intimate space filled with creative girls, where you’ll get to make your own custom leather journal from beginning to end using the same beautiful leathers you will be seeing throughout this collection. And that’s only one part of November. I’ll also finally be releasing a piece I’ve been quietly working on for a while, our new hijab. Right now, you may look at it and just see a hijab with a little pocket… but there is so much more to it that I haven’t shown you yet. The pocket, the hidden details, the way it can be worn everything has a purpose. It’s a much bigger concept and a project that is very close to my heart. Slowly, I’ll share more, and I think you’ll start to understand why I created it the way I did. I think that’s what I want Sylira to always represent. Creativity without being afraid to be different. Making ordinary things feel special. Creating pieces with a story behind them. And most importantly, creating spaces where creative people can find each other.
