@maryuzoma7: When you recognize a troubling threat within your family lineage, do not assume you are exempt. What appears in your generation may also exist within you, perhaps dormant and yet to manifest. Therefore, examine your heart, seek God in prayer, and ask Him to cleanse what needs to be removed and renew your spirit. As Scripture says, “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10). You may not be able to change what came through your lineage, but by God’s grace, you can refuse to carry it forward. A renewed spirit can break old patterns, transform your choices, and establish a new legacy.
