Ppl have no idea that this is literally the purpose of a donkey or a mule. They are STRONG and are tools. They not only will put a stubborn baby in place and teach it manners but they will defend the hell out of your land. They will WRECK a coyote effortlessly

A world renowned Clydesdale breeder local to me doesn’t even bother trying to halter break on their own. Truffles the donkey works for like a month, maybe two straight and all of the weanlings are off to their new hones fully halterbroke. No stress for anyone

one of the WORST experiences of my farm life was having to catch and lead a donkey who had zero interest. he was 3 feet tall at the whither. i’ve never fought with such a small animal so hard in my life.

I so much prefer the Donkey method over the man-hanging-on-leash or patience pole methods. That Donkey is a teacher who speaks horse, the foal is not alone but with one of his (almost) kind. It's the best method IMHO.

Do... people not realize how much a horse weighs? Even without them using any strength they can pull or push a human wherever they want whenever they want. A mule has been used to train horses since basically we started training them. Unless we want to go back to literally beating the breaks off them. Which I assume no one wants.
