@haibara.agatha: Dongchedi, a specialized Chinese automotive testing and data platform, released a video showing real-world emergency braking tests conducted on the Huawei’s Maextro V800 (Zunjie V800), a luxury MPV priced at 1.016 million RMB (approximately $150,821) and jointly developed by Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) and JAC Motors. During the tests, the brake pedal brackets on all three vehicles snapped; once the pedal breaks and detaches, the vehicle's service brake (foot brake) fails completely. Three new cars, pedal force sensors used on the third attempt, cameras everywhere, a closed track, a drone, and a safety crew—this represents one of the highest levels of independent automotive testing I have ever seen. The force applied when the third pedal broke was 1,612 N. While I am not entirely certain, based on the limited information I have read, it appears that China's industry standard requires a brake pedal to withstand a force of 2,000 N for five seconds. This had a huge impact on the company. Today JAC’s stock fell by 10%.
