@nateloans: Reading the fine print could end up saving you thousands of dollars on your mortgage. And you don’t need to be an expert in Mortgages to figure it out. All you need to do is find section A on your loan estimate and see if they’re charging you more than $1500. If they are, there’s a good chance you are buying down your mortgage rate without even knowing it lenders do this to trick you into thinking they have a low rate when the reality is you’re paying for it if you want me to review your loan estimate before you move forward with your lender click the LINK in my bio to book a FREE 15 minute call. . . . #mortgage #mortgagetips #firsttimehomebuyer #homeloans
Section A could be a lot more than $2000 if you’re buying down your interest rate. Buying a discount point is about 1% of the loan. Buying down the interest rate by a full point is about 4 discount points. On a $380000 loan that’s as much as $15000

Phoenix :
Very interesting! Have you heard of lenders paying off one point down for the first year? We had one offer that to us recently and it feels too good to be true…
