Round Up's main ingredient is Glyphosate. don't let your kids in that part of the yard for the next 24-48 hours. Glyphosate is STILL used but is mostly used by professional landscapers because of the cancer risks. if you spray near a water way, it can pollute the water (just like a fertilizer). source: my husband is a horticulture major and this is his special interest

My grandmother uses this stuff to kill the weeds and grass in her gardens. As Long as you’re not getting it on your skin and your kids aren’t playing near it, it’s perfectly fine to use. If you do get some on your skin just make sure you wash quickly and thoroughly

You can take it to a hazardous waste disposal facility- they are usually connected to a dump/recycling center. It's free here in WA, not sure other places!

I’m a sustainable ag major. Roundup is def bad, it’s a carcinogen and causes non-hodgkins lymphoma. It also will just runoff into other parts of your yard and the surrounding area. Some people use leftover boiling water or mulching as a substitute (covering things in mulch can smother weeds). Obviously it’s your choice, your yard. I just like to inform people 👍🏼
