Lydia remembering Stiles first makes the most sense. She was consciously in love with him, he would have taken up a lot of time in her thoughts. But Scott and Stiles grew up together, they were practically brothers. Scott wouldn't have spent a lot of time consciously thinking about Stiles, because he didn't need to, Stiles was just always there. It's like Deacon said, phantom limb syndrome, because Stiles was a part of Scott like an arm or a leg, not just his friend. How much time do you spend thinking about your arms and legs?

i think scott not being able to remember stiles but still having the phantom limb syndrome is actually a statement to their friendship. like he KNEW he was missing something, he knew he was incomplete. he couldn’t pin point what because, before this, stiles had always been such a constant in his life that he didn’t even have to think of him as ‘what he has’, like you don’t spend every day thinking ‘woah, i have arms’. scott didn’t remember him first bc, since they are friends since childhood, this was probably the first time he actually had to figure stiles could possibly not be in his life

I would’ve loved to have Scott remember Stiles BUT I understand why he didn’t and Lydia did: Lydia is a banshee, she has a different bond with souls. It made sense for her to be first one to figure someone is missing. But I HATEEEEE how long it took Scott to believe. She should’ve put two and two together AS SOON AS LYDIA STARTED VOICING HER CONCERNS

Okay I get everyone’s points but didn’t we get the explanation of why Lydia remembered? Yes jt was her connection to stiles but she was a banshee. When they visited the ghost town the only woman left was a banshee too, and she remembered everything that happened that day.

at some point it Make me thought that the writers hate Scott as well , because ok they want to push the romantic narrative between Lydia and Stiles i get it but Make less the friendship between them, like what the hell!! like they making push the idea as Bad friend Scott is for stiles and others 😬😬 to Make the other characters Even the villians more better than Scott.

loved stydia, but everyone had better reasons to remember him than her. he was malia's first love, who got her out of eichen and on society again, her anchor. he was scott's brother, he literally saved his life, he made him get the bite, they grew together, he was his only friend
