• 480V is more than enough voltage to easily overcome human skin resistance and drive a fatal amount of current through the body. • Once a person contacts 480V, their muscles contract, often preventing them from letting go of the live conductor.!! While 13kV will always win in terms of raw voltage power and ability to jump gaps, a 480V system is frequently the more dangerous workplace hazard because its arc flash potential can be significantly more explosive, and workers routinely underestimate its lethality.!!
