Taylor Swift will perform at the sixth annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on October 17, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures announced Thursday. Her set will close a night honoring John Carpenter, Colman Domingo and Charlize Theron, with Tom Ford, Robert Rodriguez, Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw as co-chairs. Swift wrote and recorded "I Knew It, I Knew You," the end-credit song for 'Toy Story 5', and Variety notes it could earn her a first Oscar nomination. The gala is the museum's main fundraiser and a major stop for Oscar hopefuls, per Deadline and Variety.
