@13abctoledo: The school made the announcement in a Youtube video posted Wednesday. In the video, Principal Malinda Siers and Father Scott Woods, chairman of Cardinal Stritch’s Board of Limited Jurisdiction, explain that efforts to keep the school going were not working, and that current students would be directed to Central Catholic to complete the school year. “Our high school has long faced significant challenges related to enrollment, financial sustainability and other factors,” Siers said. “The operation of a high school with only 69 students is no longer sustainable, and negatively impacts their student experience.” Father Woods said the board and Diocese will sustain pre-K-8 academy into the future.

Does anyone know why people aren't enrolling?

I be forgetting that Cardinal Stritch even exists. 😅

Damn busing them all the way to central Catholic seriously, can you imagine what time kids would have to get up and get home

Jackie Purtee🥓 :

They didn’t know at the beginning of the year that they didn’t have enough budget for the entire school year? Sad. Sorry for the students and faculty. Especially the seniors.

You know what it worse for the high school experience than having small class sizes? Having to enroll in a new school halfway through the year. This is purely financial and they knew how many students they would have at the beginning of the year. Just awful to take the tuition and close.

So do the highschool families get a refund since their kids won’t go to the school they paid for them to go to

alex Simpson :

sounds like private schools should just move it to there church like it used to be a long time ago most churches have class rooms so they can still have a schools till enrollment goes up
