The Oura Rings MM and WL have been wearing appear to be the **Gen3 Horizon (WL)** and **Gen3 Heritage (MM)**. What makes this interesting is that Oura isn’t exactly a mainstream brand in China. The company was founded in Finland in 2013 and, as far as mainland China goes, the brand has no official physical presence or authorized retail network. Purchasing an Oura Ring—and especially getting it fully set up and activated—can be quite the challenge from mainland China. And yet, somehow, these two decided to start wearing Oura Rings around the same time... I’ll just chalk that up to **another coincidence.** 👀👀👀👀🤭 But here’s where it gets even more interesting. Oura has a feature called **“Circles,”** which allows users to create a private group with their partner or other trusted people and selectively share health information with each other—things like sleep, activity and other daily scores. Basically, you can encourage each other to sleep better, exercise more, and keep tabs on each other’s wellness. And then there’s the subscription requirement. To access everything beyond the basic daily scores, Oura requires a recurring membership. And because Oura doesn’t officially support China, setting up and maintaining that membership from mainland China isn’t exactly straightforward. Users generally need a payment method and billing address associated with a supported region, such as the US, UK or EU. Which brings me back to what I mean by privacy. This isn’t some random fitness tracker you pick up at a store in China. It’s a relatively niche foreign brand, difficult to purchase and activate from mainland China, with a subscription ecosystem that requires access to supported international payment infrastructure. So the fact that both of them independently ended up with Oura Rings around the same time? Sure. Another coincidence. 👀👀👀🤭 I’ll leave everyone to draw their own conclusions. 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭👀👀👀 #leimai #zhaojinmai #angelzhao #wulei #leowu
