@crimeafterdarktv: 24-YEAR-OLD WOMAN DISAPPEARS DURING CHICAGO TRIP, BOYFRIEND COMES HOME ALONE This one immediately caught my attention, and I know a lot of you are probably going to have the same reaction I did. 24-year-old Alyssa M. Smith of Palatine, Illinois, has been missing since September 27 after traveling to Chicago with her boyfriend. According to her family, her boyfriend eventually returned home without her. Alyssa still hasn’t come home. Her boyfriend has reportedly since been searching the area where they were last together, while Alyssa’s family is desperately trying to find her. But there’s another detail that makes this especially concerning. Her family says Alyssa may have had a black eye when she disappeared. At this point, we don’t know how she allegedly got the black eye, and police haven’t publicly accused her boyfriend or anyone else of harming her. Alyssa was last seen in Chicago’s West Garfield Park area, between Cicero Avenue, Pulaski Road and Madison Street. Police have also received reports that she may have been seen in Grant Park and near Cicero Avenue and Roosevelt Road. Alyssa is approximately 5’5” and weighs between 135 and 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She has multiple piercings and several tattoos, including a Pennywise tattoo on her left shoulder. I know the circumstances are going to immediately give some people Gabby Petito vibes. A young woman goes on a trip with her boyfriend, something happens, and he comes home without her. But similarities aren’t evidence, and right now there’s no public evidence establishing that Alyssa’s boyfriend had anything to do with her disappearance. Right now, the priority is finding Alyssa.
