So nothing really changes... they will still lay off American workers, then apply for H1B visa workers, and shuffle through them until new president administration comes in.... Conversion from H1B into green card status does NOTHING for American workers... What must be done is: suspension of an issueance of any and all H1B visas for ALL COMPANIES IN THE USA. Furthermore, suspension, or rather a ban for hiring foreign workforce to replace US employees.... You want to see American workers get jobs? Do this and rest is history.... anything else, just farting in the wond

I agree keep jobs in the U.S. for Americans, but at the same time let’s not be naive. A lot of tech companies hire folks with Masters Degrees from overseas. The U.S. has a shortage of engineers, scientists, etc with those credentials. Also, they’re hiring folks who are up on the latest and greatest disciplines in those fields. We are far behind in the education as a nation.
