This morning, JD Vance announced that Microsoft was being suspended from a federal green card program over alleged visa abuse. Meanwhile, Trump was preparing to honor the company's CEO, Satya Nadella, with the National Medal of Technology and Innovation. The announcements came just hours apart. Vance claims Microsoft laid off 6,000 American workers last year while obtaining 6,300 H-1B visas and nearly 3,000 green cards. He also accused the company of posting job ads in small-town newspapers to claim no Americans applied. And Microsoft wasn't his only target. Vance also called for investigations into nine universities, including Harvard, Yale, and MIT, over possible J-1 visa fraud.
