It doesn’t bother because the universe is still new. If we were years in and this kept happening then yeah I’d be a little annoyed.

that's a good opinion, new audience will get confused by nitpicking the Canon.

Mind you Ultraman was a cloned version of himself. He only lost a fight to a cloned version of himself

James Gunn has said on threads he doesn't consider being shot by a bullet from long distance losing a fight when asked by a fan. So as far as I'm concerned Bloodsport shooting Superman with a Kryptonite bullet is canon. Especially since Lex Luthor says there's no Kryptonite on earth anymore in Superman so somebody has to have already used the world's small supply on something else... something like a bullet.

They do this in the comics all the time, so it’s fine.

well no it isnt random dialogue. harleys existance and captain boomerang getting blown to bits kinda makes problems later.

Coming from the absolute chaos that is the comic books I really don’t care about this kind of minor canon inconsistency.

doesn't bother me either. that is how the comics have handled their timelines for as long as I've been alive

I think it'd be nice to eventually once it gets solidified and really rolling to get like a breakdown of what events are solid canon and soft canon but I also don't need that that much cuz comics have been doing soft continuities for almost a century

iron man comparison doesnt make sense at all, he's a genius, we can buy that he has his own advanced tech. in The Batman regular people had iPhones and using live stream apps.

here a take, ZSJL film makes Aquaman not part of his universe vs JL2017 which flows into Aquaman

I kind of see it as after the flash the timeline reset with some changes

They obviously don't and want to copy the MCU with the lead up to an Avengers type movie because it's the literal blueprint but their rational is they don't specifically want to tell origin stories anymore so their skipping that part and just hand waving the details all together so they never have to acknowledge it just so they can shoehorn in whoever whenever TF they want. And while it could work you still run into the same issue as the MCU where every solo movie just isn't solved by calling other heroes to help.

It bothers me because that means they’re putting zero effort into keeping continuity, and that any movie goer won’t know what project is canon or isn’t.

This is going to sound like I’m being a dickhead but I’m not, I don’t think a lot of the general audience saw The Suicide Squad to be super confused by the couple of things that are canon to the DCU. Maybe Amanda Waller if she shows up again might get some people but I don’t think it’s going to cause a ton of people to not understand what’s going on.

Thank you man. Some peoples imaginations are so fucking limited and binary when it comes to canon. Jesus.
