@nickthrowsafit: Today’s small brand is building the best quality workwear money can buy. @heatstrapsusa started as an invention for firefighters, but expanded to solve a crisis plaguing modern workwear. #fashionhistory #smallbrandsdoingcoolthings #shopsmall #madeinusa #workwear
he's wearing a $400 dollar hoodie. the jacket he showed is $879. the bag is $450-550.
yeah shit doesnt last anymore, but also back then you didnt pay nearly a house payment or car payment for a jacket.
make it well and make it affordable.

Love their products. I just can’t afford a $250 shirt or $600 jackets and bags.

1000€ for one deck jacket is stupidly expensive

These comments prove exactly why companies sell us things from the bottom of the barrel . If you don’t want to spend 500$ on something that will last your entire life then don’t complain that you’re spending 100$ every year in replacements.

Workwear with a lifetime warranty is practically unheard of. Wow

I get that it’s worth $500 to by something for life. It took my blue collar father 3 years before we weren’t living paycheck to paycheck. Seeing that price tag can be so disheartening when you’d rather spend it on diapers and formula. :/

I know they're listening to my thoughts now because yesterday in my car, I said I wish I could find some source that would give me a list of small brands that are exceptional quality products.I never know where to Google them. And then this guy pops up

I love this series but I always wish you said whether the brand had women's wear. as a woman in engineering, I'm always looking for quality workwear but aside from outerwear, I would need different cuts to fit me well w/o significant tailoring

people have lost the plot on what things are meant to cost, like yes a high quality jacket with wool or leather or canvas that is made ethically by a small company without the help of sweatshop labour with a LIFETIME guarantee is going to be expensive, most of these jackets are like a weeks wages for allot of people but that is what prefast fashion clothing was, it's an investment in never buying another jacket and only getting one jacket because u don't need 10 at a time
if u own 7 different $80 jackets you could've had one of these instead

Problem is the prices are not reflective of the blue collar income of the United States. It’s wildly expensive for an average union guy.

I love the idea, and I figured it would come with a steep price tag. It’s definitely an investment😅

I totally understand all the hate on the prices, but at the same time, the race to the bottom is what's gotten us to the space of fact fashion thats trash, that ends up as landfill waste at the end of the season, and with companies like Amazon that sell low quality everything.
I'm not saying everyone should be spending 500$ on a pair of boots, but I am saying we need a massive realignment of how we think about quality and what things should actually cost.

I respect the crap out of the company and their work but boy.. up to $1000 for a denim coat. Or $250 for a simple button-up short sleeve. That’s also tough.
