Authorities say a Southern California couple who had 21 children, most born through surrogacy, are accused of running what prosecutors described as a “house of horrors.” Investigators allege the children were "harshly punished", with some of the alleged abuse captured on cameras inside the home. The couple, Silvia Zhang and Guojun Xuan, have been charged with conspiracy to commit child abuse and witness intimidation. Both pleaded not guilty and deny the allegations.
