To qualify for an H1B Visa you need to have a minimum of a Bachelors degree (or equivalent) and specialized experience for the job positioned being offered. The employer must also pay the prevailing wage for the city and state where they will working from and mind you the prevailing wages are not so bad, many techies make a lot of money as they also get get bonuses. The question people should be asking is Why aren't these jobs made available to Americans? Is it because we don't have enough qualified workers? Why don't we have enough qualified workers? Are degrees or training not easily accessible to Americans? Do foreigners have better work ethic.than Americans? Are immigration officers trained properly to prove that the H1B applicants are providing legit school documentation? Are these jobs really being stolen from Americans or are they just not qualified?

Well you don’t need to be physically in the states to do these jobs anyway. These companies will get the job done from their home countries. And American companies will just set up a shop there.

This is long overdue, and the alleged misuse by some companies must also be thoroughly investigated.

A company could hire employees through offices in Canada, India, the United Kingdom, or another country. The workers could perform the work abroad rather than enter the United States. 🤔

My emotions are mixed. The technical component does require experience in these technologies. What the US should have done was offered training in this space. But, many training companies have dissolved. Yet, India is still training the people in these technologies.
