@theroguednc: The home of Cornell’s Jane Doe was swatted after police received a call from a man claiming he had shot and killed his mother and then turned the gun on his sister, according to The Independent. An officer was dispatched to the home as a car was backing out of the driveway. Police detained two men in the vehicle, who were Doe’s brother and boyfriend. Her father then came outside and told officers the family had been threatened by unknown people. All three men had guns pointed at them by police. Doe has also received threatening calls, including one from a man who allegedly said, “I’m telling you guys simply, I think you should advise your client to withdraw the case. Otherwise blood will be shed.” Doe’s lawyer says she has received dozens of threats since mid September, when she filed a complaint alleging she was sexually assaulted.
