As the person who *was* that kid, they're frothing at the mouth for the validation that comes from being smart because they probably don't get it anywhere else. But because they're smart enough that they don't "have" to study, they don't actually know *how* to study. And will eventually suffer from what I, and many of my kind, refer to as "Former gifted burnout." Which is really it's own punishment. Two years, and you'll get the satisfaction of watching them crumble under the pressure.

I don't study at all and I always score 100% on EVERYTHING. I don't know why. Even in subjects I'm ASS at. I'm just naturally smart, not my fault.
