Since become a mom, there have been so many times I want to offer other moms help. Like, want me to hold the baby for a second? Or help you get something? But I’m afraid they will think I’m weird because I’m a stranger. But I’ve been there and it sucks.

my daughter is 6 weeks today and ive gotten so many nasty looks while she’s cried out in public and it makes me feel so bad and embarrassed. why are people so awful sometimes.

After my daughter got her first set of shots I ran outta diapers late at night she was so fussy but I had to take her with me so I went into the store with a crying baby like 30 minutes before they closed I grabbed a pack of pampers and some infant Tylenol and went to check out while trying to soothe her in line the lady in front of me asked if she could pay for my groceries i let her and I thanked her and before she walked away she told me “I was a young mom before I know how hard it is you’re doing great hunny” what she didn’t know was I only had $30 and my car was on E she doesn’t know how much she truly saved me that day but I think about what she did for me often because my daughter was only a month old and she was my first baby so I didn’t know what I was doing and I had no support because I didn’t live near family and the baby’s dad wasn’t great

The other day at Walmart I heard a little one crying super loud and I followed the sound- only to find a super overwhelmed mama who was just trying to grocery shop for the week. I had my youngest with me and helped her with her's so she could finish her shopping. Kindness costs nothing and really it only took like 15 minutes out of my day to help her. ❤️

I was out with my daughter, & we were waiting for my partner to come pick us up after his work. My daughter was getting tired, so she was crying & having abit of a tantrum. I was getting abit stressed, then this lovely lady came over with her dog, asked my daughter if she wants say hello to him. She sat there with us for 15 minutes letting my daughter play with her dog, talking to her, helping calm her down. Gave her a coin to get a sweetie from the shop. The sweetest lady, I think about her often🤍

Thanks girl this means a lot cuz they always make us sound bad us mamas just trying to make it through it’s not our faults nor is it the child we all should b able to have an off day without having stares from everyone or gossip saying we are bad mom no we are teaching there is a difference

Not only that but we were all babies once. We also cried like that. So I don't understand people who hate crying children so much like "Didn't you cry before??"

I have a 2 year old and I hate going into public, because of all the dirty looks when he gets too loud or has a tantrum 🥲 At home, I teach my son to use his voice and not to be afraid to take up space in a room, so I feel bad when I have to tell him to be quiet or not to be so loud in public. He loves to scream when he gets excited or dance around when he’s happy. But thanks for this! 🥰

(sorry this is so long) when my son was still a newborn i went to one of my moms oncology appointments and he went with me. it was my first outing alone with him without dad. i was waiting for my mom in the waiting room and he started crying. i tried everything to calm him, pacing the hallways in a sweaty panic while people looked at me, tried to make a bottle for him with the premade formula in a bottle (for the first time) and discovered he wouldn’t drink it and hated it. i obviously started to panic more. this really sweet older man looked at me and goes “honey it’s okay, babies cry, we’ve all had them and you’re doing your best.” i genuinely almost cried right there.

I saw a mom yesterday at Walmart (my kids were at home woth dad), she looked to be a new mom I walked up to her put my hand on her shoulder didn’t say a word I hugged her, her little one was in the stroller fussy asf I used my leg while I was still hugging her to move the stroller to try to help the little guy, I asked her if she needed help she didn’t say a word just looked at me all defected, I pick up little man he seemed hungry so I made him a bottle and he was relaxed in my arms while she was out getting what she needed I didn’t move from the mothers room I sat there for 45 minutes while she was getting what she needed for him. He ended up falling asleep in my arms when I started singing to him, she came back said thank you tried to hand me money and I just told her next time she sees another mom struggling to ask if you can help. Her son was so adorable though he still had baby blue eyes and the little fingers. No I’m never having another kid again 2 is enough for me
