I’m so confused when people say they are “in menopause.” Menopause is ONE day after a year past your last menstrual cycle. You are either perimenopause or post-menopause.

You look on the leaner side physically so your estrogen levels might be naturally lower and that is why you didn’t get many classic symptoms. Estrogen is stored and released by fat cells, so heavier women tend to have higher levels of systemic estrogen. You may have also had a smoother decline in levels as you aged, causing less symptoms.
