@emeraldcoastellie: Okaloosa County issued mandatory evacuations on Oct. 8, 2026 as Hurricane Isaias approached the northern Gulf Coast. Visitors were told to leave starting the evening of Oct. 7, and residents in coastal Zones A and B, including Okaloosa Island and parts of Fort Walton Beach, Destin, Mary Esther, and Niceville, were required to evacuate beginning at noon on Oct. 8.
