just for reference, Gears Judgement isn't really canon, as it's the view from Baird glazed memory, some things happened but not all

eh Id argue they were both in bad situations with Marcus brand new enemy total shock of their type of attacks. versus Baird they knew what they were dealing with bigger army from the enemy but Baird had more resources available, example the light mass missile thinned down alot of their army for the final fight. Marcus and the crew lost a lot of squad mates along the way to defeat vrahk. as a lore guy I'd say they had it about the same tbh
