@anothersidetours: This is not your normal morning on the San Diego waterfront. 🇺🇸⚓️ Broadway Pier was lined with people, and a huge crowd gathered on the flight deck of the USS Midway, all waiting to witness the USS Abraham Lincoln return home to San Diego. There’s something pretty special about watching an entire city stop for a moment to welcome these sailors home. Welcome home, Lincoln. Welcome home, sailors. 🇺🇸 #USSAbrahamLincoln #USNavy #SanDiego #WelcomeHome #SanDiegoBay

Ive always wondered why they run the radar coming into port. Your air wing has already departed home, you’re not looking for enemy planes or weapons. You’ve dispatched your strike group. Yet they always do it

Looks like the Sailors are Manning the Rails. We did that when we came back from deployment in 1999 on the USS BOXER.

I've reached a point in my life where I no longer feel the need to explain why I've changed, why I've become more selective, or why certain people no longer have the same access to me. There was a time when I gave too much of myself trying to keep everyone happy. I overlooked disrespect, ignored red flags, and carried emotional burdens that were never mine to begin with. I kept showing up for people who rarely considered what their actions were doing to me. But life has a way of teaching lessons that change you from the inside out. I've learned that having a good heart doesn't mean accepting poor treatment. Being understanding doesn't mean making endless excuses for others. And loving someone doesn't mean losing yourself in the process. Growth has taught me that not every situation deserves a reaction, not every misunderstanding needs an explanation, and not everyone deserves continued access to my life. I'm no longer interested in forcing connections, chasing understanding, or proving my intentions to people determined to misunderstand me. I choose relationships built on mutual respect, honesty, consistency, and genuine care. I value the people who bring encouragement instead of confusion, accountability instead of excuses, and love that doesn't come with emotional exhaustion. I'm not bitter about what I've experienced. I'm grateful for the wisdom it gave me, even when the lessons were painful. The woman I am today has learned to recognize what she deserves, accept what she cannot change, and walk away from what no longer aligns with the life she's building. And that kind of growth is something I'll never apologize for. 🤍 #SelfRespect #PersonalGrowth #HealthyBoundaries #ChoosingMyself #CapCut
