Just got my 8 month old on a consistent 2 nap schedule! 9:30 and 1:30 has worked great and made a 7pm bedtime so easy

I started with a schedule at 2 months and it helps to plan our day ! We do keep it flexible

So to me this is a schedule! She takes two naps a day, once in the morning, once in the afternoon and you make time for those naps! My toddler didn’t go to a strict “schedule” until he dropped to one nap and now it’s at the same time each day.

We did like you, very loose schedule. Her body knows when it needs sleep (teething, growth spurts, who knows what else).

Girl you will want that schedule as she continues to get older. We have a 19 month old who’s been on 1 nap since 14-15 months old and I REFUSE to go anywhere between 12-3pm to save nap time. She will not sleep more then 30 minutes in the car and only will sleep in a crib/pack n play. I fear we sleep trained too well 😂

Loose schedule is better but if you want it to be set you have up wake up every day at the same time

Once my baby was on 2 naps is when I started enforcing a strict sleep schedule! He just functioned better that way- but he’s also in daycare which sets a schedule too.

Daycare will force a schedule. And most daycares cut to one nap at 1 year.

Never had a schedule! Our daughter is 2yo and we let her do whatever she wants & follow her lead. It’s been great & stress-free (ish haha)

I feel like what you explained is somewhat of a schedule already! I say go with the flow will make your life harder to be soo locked in to a set schedule. This gives her enough structure to keep her content but also give you freedom to live lol

From birth but I have twins so kinda have to. But I also don't let their naps dictate my day so I will plan around the nap if I can but if it's a long day/event, then we figure it out. You do what works for you! Sounds like what you're doing works

This is definitely a General schedule and in my opinion way better then a strict schedule 100% going with the flow is way better and will help transition in the periods of 2-> 1 naps and 1-> none

8 weeks but I’m crazy - we also followed wake windows sounds like she’s on a great schedule!! A regular routine is easier when it’s only 2 naps

My daughter didn’t really stick to a schedule until about 14 months. It’s still really flexible, but the timing has been about the same every day. She just turned 15 months.

I never have done a locked in schedule, she’ll take a nap almost anywhere, although she’s a light sleeper, it doesn’t ruin her (our) day if her nap isn’t perfect. But, even without a schedule, she wakes up around 7:30 AM, and goes to bed at 10 PM, regardless of what I try to do. On my days off, I have tried to get her to sleep in, and can usually get her to go back to sleep, but then she doesn’t nap at all anymore during the day, and she (mostly me) isn’t ready for that at 14 months. I think I might just have a low sleep needs kiddo, because she’s very happy with her normal go with the flow routine

Honestly no lol we are very go with the flow. I went solely on my babies cues. And because I’ve never been strict I don’t stress about doing things. She will sleep in a stroller or a the car and she doesn’t care. She will sleep anywhere and through any noise because of it.
