I vomited when I saw this. Then I cried. ALL of the relatives felt this. I went outside to the cottonwood in my yard, that we call family tree. Every relative that has passed has either their ashes or bodies laid there. We grieve the loss.

The trees were whispering well into the night. Sighing softly to the wind to carry the sound of peace, tranquility, and hope for all willing to listen. Until they heard the cry of one of their dearest elders, her roots severed what once connected to one and all. Now the whispers are hushed and sorrowful, a lament felt deep within all as the a little breeze becomes the storm.
