I had a feeling it was going to be bad when I heard it had over 50 jumpscares. Any good horror film has 5 or less

A shapeshifting creature that takes the form of the main character’s mother? Sounds like someone I know from a while back

That’s how I felt reading the book. When I read the part where her mom was confessing everything I barely moved a muscle lol I can’t believe people think that’s one of the scariest books ever 😭

Why do terrible directors keep getting funded? Are the money laundering schemes? Because what is going on

understanding WHY something is scary is so crucial for a horror movie. so many feel so empty and jumpy because they just try to recreate scary ideas without actually putting in the effort
