it decided to stop abruptly what's to stop the car following you and possibly tailgating you causing other cars scrambling to avoid hitting cars. AI doesn't control others.

It’s a novelty. That’s not how it works. Look up the police stand off where an AI car drove right in the middle of a live incident with a gun man. You process live action incidents much quicker than AI.
