In order for Christianity to raise to power it had to redefine pagan gods as tricksters or demons so that you would renounce them and follow Jesus. theyd also take from other stories like, I believe, it was thoth that matched Jesus's story 1:1.

Because the bible comes from abrahamic monotheism, of course it’s going to demonize any other “god/ idol” that is not the Christin god. Even the bible states “thou shalt not worship false idols”, basically stating yes, there are other gods/ idols, you just shouldn’t worship them.
