So if we NEVER repeat ourselves what do we do. I say put your shoes on, they don’t. Then what?? Because I went through a stage of asking once, they didn’t do it, I did it. Then they started expecting me to complete tasks they are completely competent doing

How would you respond if you told 6yo “hey we’re leaving in 10 min” “hey 5 more minutes okay?” And then “ okay it’s time to go” and the response is to climb to the top of the play structure and scream no I hate you? [Tears of joy]

don't forget to make sure that the kids know what you are asking from them. Last year I told my son a lot of times to not be rude to me. At one point a got mad and told him I've told her more than once that he can't be rude to me. he started to cry and said "but I don't know what rude is"
