@gamesdotgg: Paramount Pictures has announced a live-action Cyberpunk 2077 film is in development, with CD Projekt Red co-producing alongside Hollywood producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura. The game has sold over 40 million copies and already has a successful anime adaptation in Edgerunners, making the jump to live-action the natural next step. No director, writer, cast, or release date has been confirmed yet, with the project still in early development. The producer attachment is the part giving fans pause - di Bonaventura's back catalogue includes the Transformers and G.I. Joe franchises, Madame Web, and The Meg, which is not exactly a track record that inspires confidence in a faithful adaptation. The announcement comes just days after Paramount completed its acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, making it one of the most powerful studios in Hollywood. Night City on the big screen has enormous potential, it just needs the right team. #cyberpunk2077 #cyberpunkgame #cdpr #cdprojektred #gamingnews

I wish they cast Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand. They look so much alike bruh.

They about to fuck up one of my favorite games up

TIMExHOURS :

Theirs no way it’s not gonna be an original story. It wouldn’t make sense to have it be V considering the whole point of the game is making choices, a movie will make you have to stick to one path due to its limit.

Muhammad Jihad :

Don Cheadle as Dexter Deshawn

Azrael 468 :

they need Mike pondsmith to advise this project this cannot be a bust

Jade :

I don’t understand the need for film/tv adaptions of video games… Like I get the audiences are different, but you’re bound to piss off the game players with a lack luster version of a story game with hours of cutscenes. And then they always want to make it live action…

lord_edox ❌ :
