@stoneaege: Nature is probably one of the fundamental layers of cultural inspiration. Around the globe people for thousands of years have taken from what around them through dance, clothing, language, traditions and even religion. As the people of the Caucasus move like swans, the Indians and Persians take from the nature around them and embed it into what they wear from the paisley to local embroiderys. The Pashtuns are no different as nature inspired culture and culture inspired traditions the Pashtuns move their long black hair as the horses main and move as the birds in circular motions, bend like the swans, and fight like the lions. They roar their weapons as they spin to their traditional tunes and spin from the ground back up as an eagle rising to the sky. #pashtun #Pashtunculture #afghanistan #xybca #blowthisup I wanted for the women’s to do a swan at first but the pictures I had taken were rather blurry. So instead I just went along with birds in circles as we do in attan. Theres so many movemonts of the Pashtuns that can be connected to nature around us and I find that very beautiful. Never be ashamed of your beautiful culture thats so rooted in history, tradition, and the it’s people.
