yall don’t know alex at all. he would have done anything in the world for his kids. for any kid. so they didn’t have to grow up like he did. him leaving jo to raise his kids in a two parent household with izzie because he never had that is absolutely character development. old alex wouldn’t have left jo bc it was safe, comfortable, no genuine responsibility. him leaving her to raise his children is because of his past and character development, he became a father but he CHOSE to be a dad.
